A Montana Wolves crossover romance…
When Willa Stone is cast aside by the alpha-wolf she’s been promised to since birth, she’s humiliated and angry, but also secretly relieved. Now, maybe she’ll have the chance to mate for love. If her power-crazed parents will just give her a little time, she’s sure to find the man of her dreams…
The wonderful thing about reviewing is … meeting new talent. A story with one of my favorite shifters in it, a plus among the stars for me.
A young woman spurred by a planned mate, a alpha of her pack. Greyson is just about to rock many boats and set a course that will affect not just him but others. Willa wasn’t at all happy with the fact of the arranged marriage her parents had made, but its what she grew up with… duty to the pack and her parents and all. So when her attended leaves her unattended and chooses another mate for love, whats a girl to do? But follow her very angered parents out the hall and the end to the pack she grew up with. Little does Willa know her parents made a pact with the devil… or a Dragon.
My favorite line of is Willa in her own thoughts “..was no question he was hot. Like, crazy, balls to the wall, sex on a stick, hot” loved it!!
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Drake and Willa, your heart will go out to her for what she goes through, but it will be bolstered in her sassy personality. Its a quick little story, fast paced that leaves of course some questions. A scene just hot enough to let you know there will be more sheet scorching yumminess. So yes… stay tuned I soo want the next book, but until then I recommend this to anyone that loves dragons and wolves. Enjoy.
Dragon-shifter, Drake Blackbourne, has an itch to scratch and precious few options for an outlet. When the Stone family offers up their daughter’s hand in exchange for protection and political favors, he agrees to wed her, sight unseen. Drastic times call for drastic measures and, so long as she does her part and keeps out of his way the rest of the time, surely he can manage to bed her, no matter how plain she might be.
Willa Stone is stuck on a mountain with the dragon-shifter she was forced to wed, and she can’t wait to escape. At least, that’s how things start out, but day by day, Drake Blackbourne is breaking down her defenses. If she stays, she risks losing herself to him forever, but if she goes, will she be able to reconnect to the wolf-pack who betrayed her?
“Like the gods blessing me and Satan testing me all at once.”
This is turning about to be a pretty good series… the books are short and sweet and to the point. The only negative that makes me want to poke Ms. Cole.. is the cliff hanger… growls and stuffs. As I finished reading about Drake and the sassy Willa… their journey together continues… or does it??
Drake as vowed to give her time, a dragon never goes back on his word. It doesn’t matter that her scent.. just the woman she is calls to him, the fact that he sleeps next to her every night might just be his undoing.
Willa as sassy as she is .. she is still pretty unsure of herself and so sure she wants nothing to do with the arrogant dragon. She tried to escape him once and would have ended bad if Drake hadn’t been there. With the dangers of other dragons fore front in his mind he gleans a promise from Willa not to try to escape “his protection”
Well Willa is only honored bound by her own thoughts.. she isn’t a dragon… she doesn’t have to keep a promise that was made under duress. As their days and nights go by.. Willa’ body seems to need Drake.. of course with him laying next to her nightly pushes the very limits of her own peace of mind.
Will they both come to sometime of understanding… will Willa’s heartache keep her from giving in to what her body already seems to know?
I’d recommend this read to anyone that loves quick sexy reads with shifters involved… grab it.. but grab the first one.. Enjoy
Willa Stone has been fighting for freedom her whole life. Freedom from her parents’ rule. Freedom from the tyranny of a cruel, power-hungry alpha. And now, the freedom to select a mate of her own choosing.
When she is sold into an arranged marriage with dragon-shifter Drake Blackbourne to gain political favor for her parents, every part of her rails against the injustice of it all…until now. She’s fallen in love with her captor. But when a cruel twist of fate rips her away from Drake, it will take everything she has to regain his trust and recapture the happiness they’d found in each other’s arms.
Being a female and a shifter most of the time its not who you love but whats the best match. Most of Willa’s life has been about doing what she is told, not what she wanted. When her parents use her as a bartering tool, she was so used to that type of treatment she didn’t put up much of a fight. Now sexy male tells her she is his wife and Willa is just not having it. Willa puts herself in danger a couple of times with escape attempts. But what she cant seem to escape is her growing feelings for her sexy eyed dragon shifter husband.
Drake knew he should have let Willa go when he found out that she knew nothing of the deal he and her parents made, it didn’t even sit well with the powerful dragon how his sassy spitfire lil wolf was sold and bartered. His dragon bounces around inside him more than sure Willa will suit both man and the beast.
It seems like when people are pushed into something they aren’t sure of they will do anything to fight back. Willa is no different and decides to flee from the clutches of her mean old husband. Mated?! Surely not as if its even possible a wolf be mated to a dragon.
This last book in this particular series is about wrong choices and acting without thinking things through. Emotions will run high and dangerous hurt and betrayal only names a couple of the emotions that run through this story, stir in a few heavy doses of passion and you have intense reactions to situations a cooler head would prevail.
I truly loved this series, the writer kept me begging for more at the end of each book. The books are easy and short reads, they are not stand-alones so you will need to read them in order. But each book is worth your time. All about shifters… I recommend it… enjoy Thank you Ms. Cole!
