Alexis Donovan is a woman whose dream of falling in love with the perfect men has been dashed because of her infertile status. Still recovering from a war that almost destroyed the world, humans have fought to rebuild and have once again opened their shields to outside visitors. As a liaison officer for alien races that are visiting Earth, Alexis does her best to ignore what she can never have, but when she is put in charge of four visiting alien warriors, her entire world changes…
Dragons Warriors from Arcadia, Xavier and Galan Tesera and their best friends Thorn and Brydan Volis, have been curious about Earth ever since they helped the humans defeat their enemy years ago. As commanders of their own space vessel they travel the galaxies searching out the unknown, but in their hearts they know they will never truly be satisfied without a mate by their side.
I had so much fun with this book. Alpha maleness personified. Not 1 or 2, but 4 alien warriors that are larger than life. When they first lay eyes on Alexis each of them know she is their mate. The four warriors are Dragon Shifters and travel the world.
Alexis is a Laison Officer, on a world that separates fertile women and infertile women. The treatment of infertile women is atrocious, they don’t have many rights and are limited in what they can do.
At first Alexis didn’t want the job of showing earth the to aliens, but it was the lesser of two evils. When Alexis meets the warriors, just their presence sets her off balance. Because of her past issues with men, she really isn’t very quick to want to make cozy, the men are not going to let her get away that easy.
I enjoyed the story soo much, first loving dragons! Then just the story as a whole was awesome, the way the men cared and reacted to Alexis, and even though she was cautious Alexis gave them a chance. There were a couple of times things got a bit con-fuddled… (always remember one important word – communication) The very yummy and hot scenes, I found myself thinking of the dynamics.. giggles. I even pictured how big the bed needed to be to fit 5 people in it (they didn’t always use the bed). Just saying. Again loved the story line and the characters. Nice job Ms. Roma! Enjoy
3013: Renegade (3013: The Series #2)
by Susan Hayes
In the aftermath of a war that almost destroyed Earth, the Alliance now rules, but not everyone chooses to live by their laws. Alayna is a rebel living by her own rules in the harsh badlands, outside the Alliance’s control. She is a thief, stealing from the wealthy to provide for those who cannot survive on their own, all while hiding the tattoo that marks her as one of the few remaining fertile women on Earth…making her a target.
Alliance Elites Nikolai Grekov and Colin Nielson are stationed at a neglected base on the edge of the badlands after years spent in space. Their orders are to track down an elusive thief that’s been plaguing the area’s outposts, but they also have their own agenda. Both men want to find and claim a fertile woman to call their own and fulfill their dreams of becoming a family.
When the men catch the sexy, headstrong, thief breaking into their home, they claim Alayna for their own. Nikolai and Colin may have claimed their chosen, but the battle for her heart has just begun. Can they find a way to win her trust or will their beautiful renegade’s need for freedom destroy their chance of happiness?
Susan Hayes helps reaffirm my love for Erotic Science Fiction. Renegade is book 2 of the 3013 Series and I just have to say loved it and still loving the series.
I liked a three lead characters, liking Alyana a bit more than the men…grins. You wont be able to not take her under you wing and give her some loves. From a life that could have very well left her for dead, she grew up and stayed safe and even help provide for her people.
The Alliance has sent to of their Generals to take over a base and discover who is stealing the supplies meant for the bad-landers. Nikolai and Colin are best friends and totally opposite in personality. One is
gruff and all bear type, the other a bit more of a joker and level headed…mostly.
At 175 pgs it makes for a decent length read, not too much detail to over power the story but enough that
its a story and not just smut.
I’m sure you will have so much fun with the parental units. A single gruffy man not quick to show emotions, a snotty very rich and haughty set that will make you want to slap them, then a football team size family that just kinda is. Just remember we can pick out family members..
Two male alliance officers looking for their scroll, one young woman will do all that she can to hid the fact that she is a scroll. A bit of fun and danger, sassy and word play, good interaction between the characters and to top it off some passion and heated smexyiness.. on the desk.. against the wall, in a chair.. oh and in bed. Grab it, Read it.. Enjoy it.
3013: Claimed (3013: The Series #3)
by Laurie Roma
As one of Earth’s greatest leaders, Commander Jax Spartan lives his life by a strict code. Dedicated and alpha to the core, he is the epitome of what every Elite solider aspires to be. Second-in-command Sullivan Archer rules by his best friend’s side, and together they form an unstoppable force that few are foolish enough to challenge. Jax and Archer have always known they’d share their chosen, but their hearts have already been claimed by the woman they’ve vowed will belong to them.
Alliance scientist Serra Lysander is a genius who has kept the planet safe with her inventions. She’s lived a sheltered life, separated from society by her brilliant mind and her overprotective mother. The only time Serra has truly ever felt accepted is with the two men that will cost her everything…
When danger leads Serra straight into the arms of Jax and Archer
As always I was looking for a good science fiction read, and Ms. Roma came through. I so love the first book in the series. I like how the writer brings all the elements together to keep you reading. Its a decent length and even though this is book 3, its mostly a stand alone.
Even when little Jax seem to be a force to reckon with, growing up with his best friend Archer made the pair deadly. Where Archer is the quiet deadly, Jax is the up in your face deadly. When their childhood friend was brought in on a criminal investigation, both Jax and Archer will leave no stone unturned in to proving her innocence.
Serra was a genius, her brain worked as a computer most people around her didn’t understand her. Jax and Archer always proved to be different, they knew her and was always there for her. So it really didn’t surprise her when they burst through the door and came to defense…by claiming her.
Serra’s heartache isn’t over there will be a few things that Serra will have to deal with, mainly her bossy bond mates. Serra though as loved them since she before she new what love was.
Grab this awesome read follow Serra as betrayal, passion and duty will put her her childhood friends through their paces. I really liked Skylar it will be awesome to see her with her own story. The story was a good mix of emotions and just enough detail the mmmm sexy stuff was hot and warm in all the right places. I had fun reading this … Enjoy I did
3013: Stowaway (3013: The Series #4)
by Susan Hayes
Sonja Grekov has spent her life in a gilded cage, trapped by her wealthy family’s expectations and the scroll tattoo on her face that declares her to be one of the coveted fertile women on Earth. No longer willing to be a pawn to further her parents’ ambition, she finally finds the courage to break free before she can be claimed in a loveless match. She is determined to set her own path, but never expected where it would take her…
Trevar Storm and Deacon Wilde are Alliance Elites, but there’s nothing elite about their current assignment. They crew one of the oldest freighters in the fleet, ferrying goods across Alliance controlled space with just each other for company. With a reputation for trouble and no chance at promotion, the two men are planning for the day they can go into business for themselves and leave their military lives behind.
You know I just love this series more with each new installment. Sci Fi and erotic paired together just makes it better than good. One of my favorite things about this series is the return of other characters.
Stowaway book 4 of the series…reiterates the fact that we don’t get to choose our parents only we wish we could. Remember Sonja Niko’s little sister?? this is her awesome story. When her heavy handed parents choices for her goes a bit too far, Sonja decides to make her own way by running away.
Trevor and Deacon yeah they were elite officers but really not as “elite” as others… and were known to stay in some kind of trouble. Trevor was known for his craziness and some just thought he was actually really crazy…something in Trevor’s past changed him. Deacon has his own hurts from the past…his elite training worked better than it should..he was able to lock down his emotions near to robotic specs. Never letting anything show on his face….he was known as the Ice Man for a reason.
As a firm believer in fate.. knowing fate will just stir it up and change how you think your life will be…enters Sonja as she took off from her body guards.. she winds up on Deacon and Trevor’s freighter.
Sonja’s brother is a General Trevor and Deacon are lower ranking elite, Sonja and her family are beyond wealthy… Trevor and Deacon are doing side jobs to obtain their goal, Sonja is a scrolled female …Trevor and Deacon has no rights to claim a scroll of their own.
What fun!! space travel, fighting.. sexy sassy women in control of their own destiny.. awesome characters and some yummy sex poppin off. I loved it and if you’re into science fiction Id be the first one to tell you to grab this read. Id not say it was a stand alone exactly… you could maybe read it without the others.. but you’d miss some key points. Thank you Susan Hayes for a awesome experience!! Enjoy
3013: Salvation (3013: The Series #5)
Strong and dominant, Director Dominic Stryker is a man who doesn’t let anything stand in his way. When he meets Skylar, he knows she’s the woman he wants to claim, but he never expected she’d also be destined to belong to his best friend, D’Aire Ambassador Arik V’Dir. Two Alpha males, Dom and Arik don’t want to share, but they realize that it’s the only way they can have Skylar…if they can get her to agree.
with hot and fun characters. Strong men and even strong sassy females.
I love the balance that Arik brings to Dom and Skylar, Arik in his mellowness is just suited for both his other high spirited bonds. Skylar stubborn hot and sexy.. has given Dom and even Arik the run around for a while. Dom all his gruffness underlies the softness and passion he has for Skylar. With an investigation on the books, Skylar feels she doesn’t have time to deal with her own personal issues. Her feelings for Dom and for Arik she doesnt even want to look at too closely. Arik and Dom will also need to come to terms with the whole sharing thing if they want Skylar. On top of helpng her cope with her past if and when it comes to light.
As much as I loved this story.. at first I had all kinds of attitude because of the relationship between Dom and Arik. With Menage relationships they are already hard, I was so used to most of the tri-couples jumpin in and being together.
Its not often I’ll even say I like heroines but Skylar is another one that I found
Running from his own past on Helix, Tariq Navarro has spent the last nine years as a mechanical engineer on Beta Station 4. Life has proven the only person he can depend on is himself, and he’s built an impenetrable wall around his heart, wearing suspicion and distrust like a second skin
T’karra Ryvern runs the Black Hole bar, the Krytos sanctuary on X2. The bar is the only home she’s ever known and a safe haven for the Krytos who lost their planet to alien invaders more than a century ago. A proud warrior and pack leader, she offers protection to those who need it, but now someone has targeted T’karra and her family.
Amazing… I love the fact that I can add this to my favorites list. The series just keeps getting better and better. Targeted was right up there with my fav Sci-Fi reads and glad that it was part of this awesome series.
Its an easy read that flows well and its just about the right length. Not too much detail to bog you down, but enough that keeps the reader interested. The characters are awesome, I loved T’karra’s brothers.
Hawke a alliance commander was “undercover” for a very short time..when he and his partner arrived on their new station. Hawke is more verbal and quick to react, where as Brandt is more the thinker of the two. But they both come together in agreement when they spend just a little time in T’karra’s presence.
T’karra is a Krytos female and leader of her pack, you may remember her from book 4 Stowaway. She kicks but and takes names and will never justify her actions to anyone. At her age she should be mated but she isn’t to the consternation of her brothers. For T’karra she has more than earned her freedom and right to lead
I cant find anything negative to say about this book, Ms.Hayes nailed it…with her talent to weave a spell the word play, the bit of mystery and danger and more than sizzling scenes that make you want to fan your face. I am glad that I was able to read this and do recommend it to anyone that has a love for Science Fiction. Enjoy
